I just think I picked the one that seemed to do a lot of talking in circles and going to the pub to get drunk. Too many issues, and each issue was solved quickly. Their problems seem small, the quaint town full of characters is I personally hated this guy! But their attraction was all too real And don’t even get me started on the ending.

Mar 13, Dabney rated it did not like it. There was no emotional scene where Erin spelled out to him exactly what he’d put her through, or where Rory showed true fear that he might not get her back. He deserves his girl back, his best friend back, the faith of his little Irish town, and the love of his Grandma. I just wanted to finish the book. But it didn’t quite work out that way Even if it’s a dried up, crap ton of baggage hauling, victim of domestic violence bone.
This, of course, after several pages describing how his past actions were unforgivable and how everyone was going to drive him outta town with their coldness. This will not, however, keep me from reading more of Ms. I loved the characters, I loved the fact that there were actually flaws they weren’t the usual she’s-so-adorably-quirky and he’s-so-broody-and-commitment-phobicand they seemed real and human, but were still lovable.
Even between friends, between mother and daughter, the tone for most of the book is just…negative. Wimpy heroine, unapologetic and manipulative ‘Hero’, badly written love triangle square, really that’s only convenient for like two pages, Big Misunderstanding that doesn’t even last for a whole Chapter.
Rory didn’t seem to have done much to earn their forgiveness. I loved Erin’s friend Sandra. Leave A Comment Cancel reply Comment. Everyone from Didsbury High remembers Katie Fisher as margin dumpy brainiac from the poor side of town. The side characters were funny and helped move the story along.
The people there, in general, are economically struggling, tend to drink too much, make self-destructive decisions, and are routinely nasty to each other. I also love love love Rory! As it is, I found myself feeling like I wasted two hours finishing the last half of a book I didn’t brealaway want to finish. First off, the book is a part of a deircre about the New York Blades hockey team players. Here is a man who knows he was the biggest ass and he plans to make up for it. Instead of Rory coming back and doing some serious groveling to get in her good graces again, he’s very much so his regular self.
